The impressive PV system composed of 44 Sharp 170W modules, sits above the Blue Sky Grill and marks an important initiative in social and environmental responsibility for the Denver community.

Home to four of Colorado’s professional sports teams, countless performances, and a key location for the 2008 Democratic Convention, the Pepsi Center is excited to showcase its recent addition and awareness of the benefits of renewable energy.

“There’s a significant challenge in retrofitting a building this large, but these are the right things to do for the environment”, said Dave Jolette, Kroenke Sports Vice President of Venue Operations.

The PV system, which will offset about 27,470 pounds of Carbon Dioxide emissions, provides a large reduction in the Pepsi Center’s annual energy consumption and helps to alleviate the building’s carbon footprint.

“With the
Pepsi Center hosting the 2008 Democratic National Convention, we were able to show the world the effectiveness of energy managed buildings. This was an important step for Denver, and for our nation,” said Jeff Scott, SolSource Founder and President.
