Fronius Inverters

Photovoltaics, the technology that converts sunlight into electrical current, rely on inverters. Solar inverters convert direct current (DC) electricity generated by the solar panels into grid-compatible alternating (AC) current.

Fronius IG 2000 and 3000 inverters rely on a novel concept. This inverter is designed to have a separation between the connection area and the power stage (the heart of the system). The PV inverter line works with all solar panels commonly available on the market, providing maximum compatibility and flexibility.  The processor control - the Fronius IG Module-Manager™ software - and other enhancements makes these inverters very versatile. 

Fronius IG inverters operate within a voltage range of 150 – 450V, 500V Peak, with a maximum AC power output of 2000 W to 2700 W. Up to two power stages can be integrated in the housing unit of each Fronius IG. 2001The Fronius IG grid-connected inverter offers data communication via plug-in cards, and is low weight, and is applicable for smaller systems in the 10W to 30 W range. Fronius USA offers a 10-year warranty & 15-Year extended warranty for IG and IG Plus PV Inverters.

In 1995 Fronius established its Energy & Environment Division with business units for photovoltaics and battery charging systems. In the same year the company launched the "Sunrise" grid-connected solar inverter for generating electricity from solar energy and feeding it into the power grid. Fronius USA, LLC, is located in Brighton, MI and was founded in 2002.
