Headquartered in Camarillo, CA with facilities in Hillsboro, OR, and Vancouver, WA, SolarWorld employees seveal hundress of people in its U.S. operations. The newest facility in Hillsboro opened in Fall 2008 and employees 1,000 people. The SolarWorld California facility produces the wafer, cell and solar module, with ingot production facilities in Vancouver, WA. The high performance monocrystalline cells used in the SolarWorld Sunmodules have an industry leading power tolerance of +/- 3%. The innovative module design incorporates impact resistant tempered glass and is certified to stringent safety and design requirements of UL 1703 and IEC 61215. The panels have clear-anodized aluminum frames, a sealed junction box with bypass diodes, and multi-contact locking connector output cables. SolSource Energy Solutions, LLC has chosen American-made SolarWorld Sunmodules for all our United States Military installations, including PV arrays at Buckley Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, and Peterson Air Force Base. Sunmodules have an anti-reflective coating approved by the Federal Aviation Administration for use in a flight zone. Our engineering team chose Sunmodules for a 10 kW solar PV array on the Civil Engineering Office Building, at Buckley Air Force Base which sits next to a runway. We have also used Sunmodules 175 Watt modules for commercial installations, such as Blue Mountain Arts, the largest privately-owned PV system in Boulder County, for housing projects, such as the New Urbanist Stapleton Village Central Park Apartments, and for educational institutions such as Dinosaur Ridge Visitor Center.
