Uni-Solar Modules Uni-Solar is one of the world leaders in thinfilm flexible solar modules produced in commercially viable volumes. Uni-Solar’s parent company, Energy Conversion Devices, is headquartered in Michigan and has been in business for over 40 years. All solar cells are assembled in Michigan manufacturing facilities with over 50% U.S. content. Uni-Solar's flexible thinfilm technology is glass free, low maintenance, theft and vandal resistant, and can produce energy even in low-light and when partially shaded. The photovoltaic modules are flexible and lightweight laminates made more durable by encapsulation in UV stabilized polymers. The polymer encapsulation is partially constructed of durable ETFE, (e.g, Tefzel®) a high-light-transmissive polymer. Benefits of this technology include: no roof penetration, strong resistance to wind lift, lightweight and flexible – not requiring structural reinforcements, easy peel and stick application, virtually unbreakable (not composed of glass), shadow and high heat tolerant. Uni-Solar thinfilm laminate panels integrate easily with membrane, mod-bit, and metal roofing to create energy solutions for commercial, government, military, and education rooftops. Applications include metal roof shade and parking structures, commercial and residential metal roofing, commercial membrane (TPO, EPDM), and commercial modified bitumen roofing. PVL-68 modules have power ratings from 68W to 144 W. Uni-Solar panels come with a 5-year product warranty and a power output warranty of 92% at 10 years, 84% at 20 years, and 80% at 25 years.
